Inventory Item Details

Overview:


This section provides step-by-step instructions for users on how to effectively search for items in their inventory. Users are guided to initiate a search by entering either the Item Type Name or Tag Number. Once the desired item is found, its details, including Identifier, Item Type, Lot Number, Expiration Date, and Current Location, are displayed. If the item is still challenging to locate, users can connect to an RFID handheld device. The instructions also cover adding location history to items, editing item details, and deleting items from the Xemelgo system, offering comprehensive guidance for managing inventory efficiently.


Instructions:


To search for an item in your inventory, tap Search under the Looking for something? section of the Inventory user interface.


Next search for the item you are looking for by entering the Item Type Name or Tag Number in the text field. 


Then tap on the item you were searching for. 


After tapping on the item, item details such as the Identifier (EPC), Item Type, Lot Number, Expiration Date, and Current Location will be displayed.


If you are having trouble locating the item, tap Find to connect to an RFID handheld device.


Note: If the RFID handheld device you are attempting to use has not been onboarded to the Xemelgo app before, please consult the Onboarding an RFID Device section of the Xemelgo knowledge base.


Additionally, a table titled Location History will be displayed that shows the Location and the Duration the item spent at each location.


To add a location to the Location History, tap Add Location.


Then tap the dropdown under Adding Location to select a location. 


Once you have selected a location, tap Save


To edit or delete an item, tap "...


To edit the items details, tap Edit Details.


To delete the item from the Xemelgo system, tap Delete Item
