Expired Audit

Overview:


This article explains how to perform an expired audit using the Xemelgo mobile app.


Instructions:


To begin an expired audit, tap the icon for Expired Audit under the Mange your inventory section of the Inventory user interface.


After tapping the Expired Audit icon, the 5 most recent audits will be displayed. 


If a previous audit's Submission Failed, tap the Retry icon to attempt to upload the results again. Alternatively, you can tap the Export icon to upload your previous results into a new expired audit session.  


If you want to view the results of a previously Completed audit, tap the Arrow icon. 


To begin a new expired audit, tap Start New Expired Audit.


Next, select the Location(s) in which you want to conduct the audit, and tap Next


Then, select your Audit Options. This includes whether or not you want to include items expiring soon in your audit as well as items expiring in a certain number of days.


Once the Audit Options have been selected, tap Start.


Next, the Xemelgo app will automatically establish a connection to the RFID handheld device you are using. 


Note: If the RFID handheld device you are attempting to use has not been onboarded to the Xemelgo app before, please consult the Onboarding an RFID Device section of the Xemelgo knowledge base.


Before scanning items, ensure your session details are correct by tapping View Session Details.


After tapping, View Session Details, the Items you are auditing for as well as the Location(s) will be displayed. 


Next, select an item to begin auditing for by tapping the Arrow icon.


As you begin scanning, items that have been detected will populate under Completed while items that still need to be found will be under Expected Item Lots


Items not expected to be in the audit will appear under Unexpected Item Lots


If you are having difficulty locating a specific lot, tap Locate.


After tapping Locate, the item Serial Numbers associated with the lot will be displayed. Additionally, the Strength of the detection for each items serial number will be displayed. The higher the percentage, the closer you are to locating the item. 


When you locate one of the specific items, tap Consume.


Then, the status of that item will change to Consumed and the progress bar will update. 


If you tapped the consumed button by mistake, tap Undo.


If additional assistance is needed locating a specifc item serial number, tap the Search and Find icon.  


The Search and Find feature will help you hone in finding one particular item and display the Signal Strength, indicating whether or not you are near the item. Once you have located the item, tap Consume.


If you located an item that has no signal strength, tap Consume.


Then, you will be prompted with a Consuming Item message due to the signal strength being below the configurable threshold. 


After disposing of the expired item, tap Okay


Once everything in the lot has been consumed, tap the back Arrow. 


Once all items have been consumed, tap Review.


Ensure the Auditing for items, Locations, and Item Summary are accurate.


Then, tap Submit.


Finally, you will be prompted with the Finish Expired Audit message, ensuring you understand that the items that have been consumed in this process will be removed from the specified location(s). Tap Submit again to finish this process.
