Overview:
This article covers inventory physical counts, recounts, and offline count submissions using the Xemelgo app.
Performing a Count for the First Time:
On the home page, tap Count to begin performing counts.
Next, either tap the Item you are counting, or tap the Barcode Scan icon on the search bar to scan a QR code representing the item.
After physically counting all the items on-hand, enter the Count and tap Submit.
If the count does not match the expected on-hand quantity, a Variance Warning will be displayed. Verify the physical count value by performing a physical count again and submit the new count.
Perform a Recount:
When performing a recount, the app will display a Warning indicating the product has already been counted. If the intent is to perform a recount, the warning can be dismissed and a recount can be submitted.
Performing a Count at an Offline Location:
If the location for which the count will be performed at has no internet connection, you must first open the Xemelgo app and access the Count feature on the home page once at a location With Internet Connectivity first, before going to the offline location. This will pull down and save the data onto the device.
When a count is attempted to be submitted while the device is offline, a Warning will be displayed.
The count will be saved, and you can resubmit it after the device is connected to a network.
To do this, tap the Back button on the list of all items, and either Retry a day’s worth of saved counts, or resubmit them all.
If the saved data is stale, you can refresh it by accessing the Count feature once the device is connected to a network again.
