Overview:
In this article, we will guide you through the process of conducting asset audits. We'll start by explaining how to initiate an audit, offering a choice between a Full Count and a Partial Count. You'll also learn how to select an audit location, connect to an RFID handheld device, and begin scanning assets. During the audit, we'll cover how to identify new assets, unknown assets, and unaccounted assets. We'll delve into viewing detailed information about asset types and individual assets. Additionally, you'll discover how to submit your audit with confidence, ensuring all data is accurate before confirmation.
Instructions:
To begin performing an audit on your assets, tap Audit under the Manage your assets section of the Assets user interface.
Next, tap Start Audit.
Then, select the type of audit you want to perform.
Users have the option of either performing a Full Count or a Partial Count.
Next, select an audit location. If the location you are looking for is not displayed below, you can search for it using the text field.
Then the Xemelgo app will automatically establish a connection to the RFID handheld device you are using.
Note: If the RFID handheld device you are attempting to use has not been onboarded to the Xemelgo app before, please consult the Onboarding an RFID Device section of the Xemelgo knowledge base.
After connecting your RFID handheld device, start the process of scanning for assets.
To see new assets that have entered the location, tap New.
The New section will display the tags that were not routed to the location you are conducting the audit in.
To see unknown assets that have entered the location, tap Unknown.
The Unknown section will display any tags that were not onboarded in the Xemelgo system but were detected in the location while the audit was being conducted.
To see which assets have not been account for in the audit, tap View Details.
Then the Asset Type, Expected Count, and Scanned Count will be displayed.
To view more details about a specific asset type, select the Blue arrow.
Then, the Serial # as well as whether or not the asset has been Scanned will be displayed.
If you want to look for a specific asset, tap Find to try to locate the asset with your RFID handheld device.
If you want to view more details about a specific asset, such as the Name, Image, and Description, tap View Details.
To submit your audit, tap Submit.
Before confirming the submission of your audit, verify the Audit Location, Expected Counts, and that the New and Unknown categories are all correct.
Then, tap Confirm.
