Create an Asset

Overview:

This article explains how users can add assets to the Xemelgo system manually or through bulk importing via CSV files, including creating new asset types if needed.

Instructions:

Users can create an asset by clicking + Add Asset.

After filling in the required fields of Asset Type, Serial Number, and RFID Tag Number, a user can create the asset that will be integrated into the Xemelgo system.

When adding an asset, if the desired asset type didn’t exist during asset type selction, user can click the dropdown under Asset Type and create one on the spot by clicking the Create New Asset Type button.

Bulk Importing Through CSV:

If you have a CSV file of your assets and it contains the Asset Type, Serial Number, and RFID Tag Number, you can upload it by clicking Create Asset. This will allow you to upload all of your assets into the Xemelgo system all at once.

Note: The headers that end with an asterisk (*) are required headers. The other headers are optional.
