Track for Assets

Overview:


This article covers the process of accessing and viewing tracked assets, including options to switch between different views such as All Assets, Location, or Part Number. You'll also learn how to apply filters to narrow down specific asset criteria and sort them based on various parameters. Additionally, we'll explore how to access detailed asset information, delete assets if necessary, and view their asset route history, displaying locations and durations. If you encounter difficulties locating an asset, we'll guide you on connecting to an RFID handheld reader and marking an asset as missing. 


Instructions:


To begin tracking your assets, tap Track under the Looking for something? section of the Assets user interface.


To change how you are viewing your assets, tap the dropdown to the right of View.


Then, users have the option to view assets by either All Assets, Location or By Part Number.

Users can filter assets by tapping the Filter icon.


To filter for specific assets, the user must select a Field and a Comparison Value


Users can add an additional filter by tapping the "+" to the right of Add Filter.

Users can sort their assets by tapping the Sort icon.


Then users have the option to sort their assets by Serial Number, Creation Date, Creation Date, Last Updated Date, and Status

Once you have chosen a value to sort by, tap Done

To view additional details about an asset, tap the white arrow icon.


Then details such as Serial Number, Part Number, RFID Tag Number, Tub Number, and Current Location will be displayed.


Additionally, a table titled Asset Route will be displayed that shows the Location, the Duration the asset spent at a location, and State of the asset at a location. 


If you want to delete the asset, tap "..."

Then tap Delete Asset.

If you would like to add a location to the Asset Route, tap Add Location.


Next tap on the Blue dropdown under Adding Location and tap the location you want to add. 


Then tap Save.

Additionally, if users are unable to find an asset, they can tap Find to connect to an RFID handheld device to try to locate the asset. 


NoteIf the RFID handheld device you are attempting to use has not been onboarded to the Xemelgo app before, please consult the Onboarding an RFID Device section of the Xemelgo knowledge base.


If users are still unable to locate the asset, they should tap Mark as Missing.


To confirm that the asset is missing, tap Yes, mark as missing.

Note: When an asset goes missing or is found, you will receive a notification if you are subscribed to Missing Asset Alerts.
